Peter Skizas serves as the Director of Legislative Affairs & Policy Analysis at Celestria Heath, where he guides the organization’s analysis of healthcare legislation and its corresponding public policy initiatives. In his role, he works to direct strategic support toward meaningful legislative efforts and develop relationships between the organization and policy advocacy groups concerned with health equity. Pete brings experience in team leadership, resource allocation, project coordination, and accountability management to Celestria Health.

Beyond Celestria Health, Peter conducts genetics research at the Kruglyak Research Lab, housed in the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, where he works on a team of researchers hoping to understand the genetic basis of complex traits. He is also a certified EMT (currently employed by CrowdRx, a division of Global Medical Response) and a fully trained peer counselor/academic advisor working with UCLA New Student & Transition Programs.

In his role at Celestria Health, Peter hopes to broaden healthcare access and boost affordability, driven by the core belief that healthcare is a fundamental human right. Following his undergraduate studies, he hopes to attend medical school and continue advocating for these goals as a physician.
